Hello All,

What is the secret to creating a LARGE RAMDisk - when I say large I mean
about 1.5 Gigabytes. mkfs seems to choke when trying to create a RAMDisk of
this size. I have tried all the stuff I could find on the net. The default
RAMDisk size has been set to 2GB in the kernel. My steps I am following are
fairly simple.

insmod rd rd_size=1000000000
mke2fs -m0 /dev/ram0 <--- chokes here.
if it would work, I would proceed to:
mount /dev/ram0 /mnt/tmp.

My system has 4GB of RAM.

Any and All Help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
