Mirrordiring /proc?

I'm trying to set up a second HD to mirrordir the primary as a failure
backup. It's working great except I'm not sure what to do with /proc. I
can mount the proc filesystem but then mirrordir screams bloody murder
when I try to mirror /proc to my /mirror/proc. Can't read the symlinks,
can't open the directories, etc. Why isn't it possible to mirrordir a
/proc mount point?
