Garbled text based interactive setup programs.

I just installed Redhat Enterprise, and text 
based interactive setup programs, such as ntsysv 
or authconfig. the window has garbled characters 
(see below).  I think this problem has to do with 
the default character set that Redhat is 
installed with, but I don't know remember how to 
fix it.  Any ideas?  Thanks. -  Mark
