Kernel panic

Hi Bikram,

Thanks for your information. I couldn't boot my RH 7.1 a few days ago
and my original email is at the end of this email. I did not compile
or build my kernel and my filesystem is ext2 based on my installation
record. I could not find either /etc/fstab or lilo.conf when I booted
with the installation disk (please see below Try (3)). I typed the
following at the boot prompt and I got kernel panic message:

        boot:linux root=/dev/hda2
