rdate problem

After you do the "chkconfig time on" it should say something in your
/var/log/messages (the event would start with "xinetd[<pid>]: Starting
reconfiguration" and there will be a series of messages afterword). The
message you are getting suggests that time is not turned on or that
there was some sort of problem enabling it.

Hi,

I can't use the radte command on RH 8.0. I get "rdate: couldn't connect
to
host linuxserver1: Connection refused"

No FW install and rlogin or rsh works ok. Any idea what's the problem?

 Thanks,

 Tzvika
