Thanks for the info however I did as instructed and still have the same 
problem...
 
[root at redfish etc]# sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1
net.ipv4.ip_forward = 1
[root at redfish etc]# ping -I eth1 204.62.134.209
PING 204.62.134.209 (204.62.134.209) from 10.10.30.248 eth1: 56(84) bytes 
of data.

Look in /etc/sysctl.conf for the variable net.ipv4.ip_forward.  Set it
to 1 and then run sysctl manually to set it for the active session
without rebooting.

By default, IP forwarding is turned off.
