Kernel: Out of Memory: Killed process 5524 (httpd)

Unless you are using embedded languages, I'm not seeing what's causing
this - this appears to be using at most 450MB of memory if all 150 copies
of HTTPD are in use. In addition, httpd doesn't really suffer from memory
management problems because (a) it's well written, (b) it uses pooled
memory which is easier to manage, and (c) it kills off each process after
so many requests.

My guess is that you're using something like mod_perl which is growing to
a very large size on certain requests. PHP isn't very likely to do this
because you the default resource limits on it are very conservative.

Anyway, let me know what languages you're running.
