Hi,
You could try removing the stanza about the mouse from the hwconf file as well 
as removing (don't delete, just in case) the file 'mouse' from the sysconfig 
dir. Then see if kudzu will set it up properly for you.

You can run kudzu at the command line, but read the man page first, there are 
some possibe issues.
