I highly recommend ClamAV.  You also get the ability to scan your filesystem
as well. It's free and the virus databases are updated very frequently.

You can find it at www.clamav.net.

I use it in conjunction with MailScanner and SpamAssassin.
The combination handles our office environment quite well.

These are some of the most beneficial open source
projects I've run across next to Linux of course.
