Someone correct me if I'm wrong...

Assuming /dev/hdd1 /var/home

modify /etc/fstab to mount hdd1

#mv /home/* /var/home/
#rm -rf /home
#ln -s /var/home /home

Verify permission on new home directory

Modify paths as necessary.
