Mysql setup on server install - but it's no there

Jody,

Do an updatedb and then do a find for mysql ->

# updatedb
# find / -name mysql

You could also look for the mysql rpm as well ->

# rpm qa | grep mysql

and if mysql is installed, it should be listed after the command...

Hello,

I just setup a new Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS server. During the
install, I told it to install all of the Postgresql and mysql packages.
But, I looked in services, and mysqld is nowhere to be found. If I type
in mysql at a command prompt, it says unrecognized command. I looked in
the Add or Remove packages area in redhat, but it lists them as being
installed.

What should I do?
