RHEL 2.1 compatability question.

I had a computer that came from Dell with RHEL 3 on it.  Unfortunately 
the
software that we needed to run for experiments only worked on RHEL 2.
I had to downgrade.  Neither Dell or RedHat would support the downgraded
system.
