hi...
i have a generic question regarding the installation/bootup process for
linux. is there a way to have a motherboard install/bootup linux from a
network connection?
in other words, if i have a blank system with no floppy/keyboard input, is
there a way for me to more or less do a remote install of linux via the
ethernet/internet connection?
i'm envisioning a machine that upon being turned on, it can be set to go
screaming back to the mother server to get properly configured? i would
assume that this would be something that would have to be configured in the
BIOS.
also, what's the easiest way to install linux on a box that has no floppy/cd
drive??? or is is possible to do this kind of install?
thanks
bruce
