Starting up

If you're using LILO as your boot loader, you probably need to hig CTRL-X 
and then type "linux 1" and hit enter.

If you're using GRUB, then hit A, and add "1" to the end of the boot line, 
then hit enter.

If all else fails, boot, then login as root, and type "init 1".
