Problem with gs

I found the problem with gs 7.0.7 on RedHat Fedora was that you had to 
assign an output device.

gs file.ps

worked with gs 7.0.5 on RedHat 9.

gs -sDEVICE=x11 file.ps

works with gs 7.0.7 on Fedora FC2
