dump fail on As 2.1

[bbaa aaa]

i have two directories /boot and /sanboot.  Both have same size.   I use 
"dump
0ucf - /boot|(cd /bkboot;restore -rvf -)" to do backup and failed. The O.S. 
is AS 2.1 (2.4.9-e.38enterprise)

Please help.

Add links
Set directory mode, owner, and times.
Check the symbol table.
Check pointing the restore
  DUMP: Broken pipe
  DUMP: The ENTIRE dump is aborted.
