to mount a hard disk with data

Hi all,

I have 2 hardisks with data.I upgraded redhat 8 to 9 and is giving
problem.
so I like to completely reinstall.
can I remove  harddisk2 (which is not having any OS files) and then
install redhat 9 with  harddisk1 and later add the harddisk2 which is with
data.
will the data in harddisk2 will be recogonised with out any problem.
urgent.waiting for ur replies before doing it.
