Could not make FIFO

Good afternoon,

I am currently running Red Hat Linux release 7.3 (Valhalla) with Kernel 2.4.18-18.7.x on an i686.  The default run level is 5, but X does not start once it reaches its default runlevel.  These are the error messages:
