SSL connecton on news reader.

Does anybody know ANY news reader that runs on Mac OS X, Linux, or Windoze 
that supports SSL connections to a SSL port at the news server?

I have tried Pan, Knode and XanaNews (on Windoze).  XanaNews does not appear 
to work on either port?
