I wasn't interested in getting SMTP authentication to work, NV was, and
adding a smarthost provider and entries to enable relaying wont help turn
on the SMTP auth system, especially when the error is a DSN saying that
the service was unavailable (relaying denied messages tend to be more
specific - i.e - 550 Relay Denied - or there abouts.)

This is why I asked for the logs, as the logs should elebarate more as to
_why_ the DSN responded with "service unavailable" which tends to indicate
that an attempt to spawn a subprocess failed (i.e - a subprocess to check
an SASL encrypted password)

NV : this is part of the confusion that is created when responding to a
post with content that is completely unrelated to the original.
