did that...  I PS'd & saw sshd2 was running, but all I did was change config file...  I wonder if it's compiled in.  but if so, doesn't explain why changing the config file made it disappear...  *scratches head*

Maybe try turning the firewall completely off while you diagnose - like you 
said 1 variable at a time.  Don't forget that you'll need to set your client 
to connect on port 27 also.

I tried changing my liste port to 27 (& firewall to match) & broke my setup 
- could not log in...  Got home, fixed one at a time, & could not get back 
in until I changed both back to 22...  Still trying to figure that out..
