Logging HP Laserjet Printer to a linux machine

You can setup a cron job to parse out the info..Add the following to
/etc/crontab

*/10 * * * * root cat /var/log/messages | grep printername >
/var/log/printer.log

Otherwise, I think you would need something like Syslog NG..

In this case, will the log goes to /var/log/messages? Is there any easy
way to 
send logs from remote machine to different file?
