Can I recover a modprobe.conf from the running list of modules?

On FC3, and perhaps other distributions, there is a:

/sbin/generate-modprobe.conf utility. It has the caveat:

    echo "Usage: $0 [--stdin] [modprobe.conf]"
echo " Converts your current modules setup to modprobe.conf."
echo " Don't trust it too much."

at the beginning of the script file. I've never used it but may
offer some help.
