HP Tachyon XL2

Here is a noodle scratcher for those of you out there. I know the HP Tachyon XL2's are not offically supported under HP on IA64 or RedHat AS EL3 for Itanium and the suggestion is to use cpqfc module. However I think my card is so new that it doesn't log into the fiber switch with it. Does anyone have a suggestion on what I can do? My alternative is a hardware swap to a QLOGIC or an EMULEX card.

The Server is an HP RX4640 (Itanium 64)
