Connection refused when trying to connect

That's what I've done:
[bobo at bobo sbin]$ ./service httpd start
httpd: unrecognized service
It seemed there were no "httpd" service.

I reinstalled the Apache, then:
[root at bobo sbin]# ps auxw | grep http | grep root
root      1982  0.0  0.1  3536  628 pts/0    S    21:14   0:00 grep http

When I entered agian the command ... nothing

Then, I started the httpd and:
Starting httpd: httpd: Could not determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
                                                           [  OK  ]
IT WORKED !
Everything OK with this step !
Now, I have to check what's wrong (I get the same message) when trying to go to SWAT or printing (http://127.0.0.1:901 or :631) ...
But I think it's better to start a new thread, right?!?

Anyhow, until now, thanks to everybody.

Your grep statement shows up because you are grepping for httpd.  It is not
running.  Run the following command:  service httpd start

It appears to be up and runing.
But the message is the same ...

ps aux | grep httpd
Can you see it?

If you can't, try running /etc/init.d/httpd start
