RHEL version 3 update 5 and X-win32

Hello all,

When I try to connect to a machine running RHEL version 3 update 5 the
connction breaks.

when i look in /var/log/messages i see a msg like:

Jul 18 14:40:53 afs-1 gdm[3187]: gdm_xdmcp_decode_packet: Unknown opcode
from host 163.120.xx.yyy

the addres is the Ip address of the machine that I attempted the
x-window session from.

I have the sam settings ("in the login screen" setup for xdmcp) as on 
other machines and that simply works.

any tips ?
