10 million files on Redhat?

We setup a system and it has more than 1.000.000 banking transaction per day
we used Oracle 10g and as FS ext3. But your question's answer is hidden
in your hardware profile. RedHat Enterprise Linux can handle this but what
about your hardware and network?
