RedHat v4 Partitions (NetBackup problem)

Hello,
Another v3 vs v4 question.
In RedHat v3, using auto-partition with Disk Druid. Here's the layout
SNMP reports with that default install...
snmpwalk -v2c -c public servername hrStorageDescr
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.1 = STRING: /
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.2 = STRING: /boot
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.101 = STRING: Real Memory
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.102 = STRING: Swap Space
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.103 = STRING: Memory Buffers
That looks fine, and using Veritas NetBackup we can use normal
backup/restore. But when we use v4 systems with auto-partition in
Disk Druid, it gets a lot more complicated.
snmpwalk -v2c -c public servername hrStorageDescr
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.1 = STRING: Memory Buffers
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.2 = STRING: Real Memory
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.3 = STRING: Swap Space
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.4 = STRING: /
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.5 = STRING: /sys
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.6 = STRING: /proc/bus/usb
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.7 = STRING: /boot
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.8 = STRING: /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.9 = STRING: /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs
HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrStorageDescr.10 = STRING: /media/cdrom
I guess to some extent, that's behind the scenes, and I don't really
care. But my problem is when I try to back this system up with
Veritas NetBackup, it gets "permission denied" errors trying to read
some driver files in /sys
Any ideas on what the NetBackup problem is about? Or even some
background on the file system changes?
Thanks
Shane
