changing SSH ports

As an aside, I noticed that the banner message seems to screw up some of the scripts, & I saw my log files shrink quite a bit after I implemented that...

Thanks, then - it would seem, then, that I'm having a problem getting in from work...  I wonder if their firewall blocks outgoing connections to other ports?  I'll try moving to something above port 1024, then.

I got "in" that is... got a response and your nice "**** off" message 
and 
a prompt to enter password so it seems to be working
