It's been some time since I resized a logical volume, but I'm
assuming your trying to increase a volume by 1000 Megs?

In which case, I think you'd need to do this:
e2fsadm -v -L +1000M /dev/usrvg/workarea

I am getting an error on e2fsadm 
"please give a logical volume name"
where I am correctly giving the lv logical path ...
( see below ).

Has anyone seem anything like this ?
