Help on GUI Tools

I think I would, at this time, continue to recommend, at least
initially, one of the scripting languages as a good place to start
learning about writing GUI applications.  Certainly after you've
developed a prototype, you could then make the determination as to what
pieces need to be rewritten in C or C++ for performance reasons.

While certainly one could write GUI apps in C or C++, I wouldn't wish
that on anyone as a place to start.  Play with something lighter weight
first, to gain an understanding of issues, design concerns, etc. and
then look into something else only if needed.

Hey Larry ~

Well , i am doing my MS .and for that i am supposed to build a S/W
.After
lots of googling around, i managed to get some info out.
Now , i have an option to choose from Windows Platform and LINUX
Platform.
i have choosen LINUX for many reasons, but have no clue about the
programming tools used in LINUX.

and with respect to Languages, wel..yes i do know quite a bit of them
C,C++
to name a few.

now , i am quite unsure , how should i start offf.....
