Stop and restart the Name Server Cache Daemon (nscd).  It may be caching
the old data.

I am currently changing all of our Redhat WS version 3 machines to DNS. I
have edited the /etc/nsswitch.conf and /etc/resolv.conf to the settings we
require. We have stopped and started the ypbind service but it is not
changing over to  use the DNS settings. The only way we can get it too pick
up the new settings is to reboot the machine but unfortunatley this is not
an option with some current live servers. Is there a way of getting this
change to be dynamic.

Regards
