partition missing???

Hi ,
I have got a J2ee ERP tool running on redhat ES 4 version, recently the archivelog file expanded to 13 GB in a span of three days.
My venor complains of not able to access almost 80 GB.
My hardware stats are 300 GB on a Raid with at least 210 GB available for perusal.
The log file swell and oracle stopped working.
And it ave an error ora 00257.
Any idea of wht has gone wrong.
