Kudzu not seeing new drive

I put a new ATA 160gig drive into my Dell desktop machine.
I noticed that Kudzu didn't recognize the drive when I powered
the machine back up. Should it have?

Is there a way to configure the drive with kudzu after the machine
has already come up?

Can I use fdisk to see it?

My boot drive is sda.

Should the 2nd. drive be sdb?
