version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Thanks Ed for your reply. I am using Redhat distribution, and after
googling, the only answer to this issue was setting the environment
variable as LD_ASSUME_KERNEL=2.4.x

But this method failed in my case. As while upgrading glibc, I
included the kernel headers with it.

Can you tell me what all packages would i need to re-install, before
loading glibc?
