Just following up on this: looking at bug 158392 on the Red Hat Bugzilla
site (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=158392) made
me realise that the issue started after switching SELinux on in
permissive mode (was previously off). Disabling SELinux again appears to
have fixed the issue.
