Marco, Thanks about the advice on tcpdump. I executed one and it shows that sendmail is properly connecting to my ISPs smtp server with acknowledgement's going back and forth, every 15 minutes. At this point, I definitely do not think my machine is holding things up. I'll call the ISP. Thanks again, Michael
