Maybe a bad ISO image?  use the "CHECK CD" option when booting the
installer.  It takes some time, but it will verify that the CDs are good.  

Second, ensure that you are using the latest-greatest version of RHEL, and
that your PC is supported.  I _tried_ an install of RHEL3 on a fairly new
dual-core system, and got nothing but headaches because said PC was the ONLY
config that would trigger a bug in that version of the RHEL boot-cd kernel.
Upgrading my ISOs to RHEL4 made the problem go away.
