Sending log file to an Email Address

Thanks for reply Nick.

I have just done as you suggested but the e-mail did not come through and
in the  /var/log/maillog i have the text below. It looks like it is being
stopped by localhost. Do you know what i need to change to get it to go
through.

you could put the following at the end of your script

echo "Log File" | mutt -s "Log file attached" -a /your/log/file
your.email.address

This will then email your logfile as an attachment as long as your system
is setup correctly to send email.
