Faster 'du' command

Hello All,

Is there a command that works similar to 'du' with the switch '-sm' to
show a directory much faster?   Currently I'm running that comand with a
wildcard on /users directory and it takes hours to complete.    If there
is not such command, is there combo command or ways to have something
like 'du -sm /users/*' to show up much faster?
