Can't increase the number of open files limit in RHEL AS 4. Pleasesuggest.

Hi,

Looks like both soft and hard limits need to be specified in
/etc/security/limits.conf.
root soft nofile 32768
root hard nofile 32768
[root at bangpcplin1 security]# ulimit -n
32768
It worked.  Thanks a lot.
