rsh timeout

hi!

The users are using rsh (in windows) to get some work done. The command
looks something like this:

rsh srv1 -n srv2 <some batch file>

The problem is that this job is taking quite a long time, since this
includes copying large files to the other server, and usual user ends up
with an error:

eckbert quantizing.......................................
Generating inverse palette....................................
Saving image.......................> Recv failed:Connection reset by
peer
> polaris.gzs-dd.si:Connection timed out
rsh: can't establish connection

Now, I have 2 options. Fix the rsh so that timeout won't appear
(honestly I have no idea where would I even look), or use some other
method. I need to keep in mind that this jobs are started from windows
cmd, so i need tool that will fit into the MS cmd.

Any suggestions are very welcome.
