ES Ver 3 Update 5 - Kernel Panic

 Hi All, 
          has anyone installed ES Ver 3 Update 5? After installing and
putting all my filesystems under an LVM I see the following message
(which I have reproduced on another machine) when booting for the first
time.

	VFS: Cannot open root root device "Volume00/LogVol00 or 00:00
	Please append a correct "root=" boot option
	Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 00:00
