Hi,
I am working as a linux administrator. I have cleared RHCE and planning for
RHCA.

Anybody can help me for proper guidance.
Thanks in advance.

netconfig -d eth0
fill in the fields, restart the network service.

if you are editing the files that you mentioned, it should be pointed
out that the interface config file for eth0 should be

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and *not*
/etc/sysconfig/ifcfg-eth0

also, the output of
dmesg|grep eth0
...could be helpful here, both before and after the network reconfig.
also, what is the entry in /etc/modprobe.conf for eth0

Regards

Stuart
