How to resize an lvm partion

On a redhat AS 3 box, I have 2 partitions both in the same volume group;
I need to make 1 partition smaller and make that space available to the
other partition.  Can someone send me a or point me in the direction of
a detailed howto?  The box is running lvm version 1.  Thanks
