How to choose services to run at startup

where can i get upgrade of redhat linux 7.3 kernel version 2.4.18...
to 2.4.20 .. i have download upgrade from fedora but it will not work it gives panic. it will not able to detct scsi controller ccsi.s it gives error insmod not detect..........
