SMTP ERROR

This is generally happens when you deliver mail directly.

You need to have smtp authentication.

You should have  /etc/mail/access entry something like this.

AuthInfo:your.isp.net "U:root" "I:user" "P:password"

go thru the url

http://www.sendmail.org/~ca/email/auth.html
