Problem with latest samba patch and redhat es4

Hi everyone, there may be a problem with the latest samba-common rpm
3.0.10-1.4E.6.2.i386 ; I have 2 redhat es 4 machines setup to use our ad
environment for file sharing; after upgrading the samba rpms (samba,
samba-client and samba-common), it seems that winbind is having a tough
time at least resolving guid's from it's pool to domain group names;
doing a ls -l yields root 100000 as owning a particular directory that
previously yielded root domainname\test_ad_group ; chgrp
"domainname\test_ad_group" /usr/shared doesn't fix the issue ; no
changes to the ad group were made, and all relevant files
(/etc/nsswitch.conf, /etc/krb5.conf and /etc/samba/smb.conf) were not
altered; sharing the actual files doesn't seem to be affected; I
reverted the 3 rpm's back to 3.0.10-1.4E.6 and all is normal (i.e. ls -l
/usr shows that /usr/shared is owned by root domainname\test_ad_group ;
neither samba's or winbind's error logs show much; any ideas how to
address this further?  Thanks.
