Seamonkey pops up search sidebar automatically. How to disable?

This bugged the heck out of me too...

Go to Edit -> Preferences, under the Navagation category, click on 
Internet search.  There is a check box for open search side tab.  Uncheck 
that box and your problems are fixed.
