Restricting number of CPUs

	Does the machine BIOS allow you to control it?  That's the first
thing that comes to mind.

	But also, is this a terms of agreement license issue, or something
in the software detecting how many are available and yakking when it detects
more than it's licensed to operate with?  If the former, and you're
concerned about an audit, even having them disabled may violate the legal
terms.

Hello,

We have 4 CPUs installed in a server, but would like to limit it to only 2,
since an application is priced per CPU.  Rather than taking the CPUs out of
the box physically, is there a way to lower the CPU count - maybe in
/etc/sysctl.conf?
